In addition, mammography and x-ray machines were also provided to the SKMT, Lahore and Peshawar..
Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) is a state-of-the-art cancer center located in Lahore, Pakistan. It is a project of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, a charitable organization established under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 of Pakistan. The institution is also the brainchild of Pakistani cricket superstar, Imran Khan. The inspiration for the hospital came after the death of Imran Khan’s mother Mrs. Shaukat Khanum from cancer.
CHILDREN HOSPITAL DIALYSIS CENTER
The Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation has accomplished another spectacular feat in the pursuit of serving humanity, 14 latest and advanced dialysis machines have been provided by AAKF to the Dialysis Center of Children Hospital Lahore where the underprivileged and deserving children shall receive free and first-class dialysis treatment. Mrs. Kiran Aleem Khan was present to inaugurate the ceremony. Ribbon cutting was held and the Center was decorated with many colorful balloons.

Everyone came together to pray for the prosperity of the new venture. Brig. (Retd) Khalid Bashir, the CEO of the AAKF also graced everyone with his presence, 12 of the brand-new dialysis machines are operational, while the other two are reserved.

On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of Children Hospital University, Professor Dr. Masood Sadiq gave a briefing of the project. Moreover, Mrs. Abdul Aleem Khan met the children under care in the Center individually and even gave them beautiful gifts and cash as Eidi. Gifts were presented in small, decorative baskets and cash was handed in envelopes.
These gestures of kindness put smiles on the faces of the children. Their happiness was certainly a great joy to witness. Other than that, cash was also awarded as Eidi to all the junior staff of the Nephrology Center and all the employees of the Dialysis Ward.
Mrs. Abdul Aleem Khan encouraged all the staff and praised them for all their hard work. We hope and pray that numerous needy children are given the best dialysis treatment possible.
